Christian Young - (Chief Executive Officer)

 

Christian is Chief Executive of Drakefield Group, which he established in 2004 to acquire Go Travel Insurance. Christian has 30 years in the insurance industry, as well as internet/IT business, marketing and corporate finance. This experience includes former insurance directorships at CE Heath, Citicorp, and Aon. Founding director of broker sold to the Aon Corporation, subsequently becoming Chairman of Aon’s Nicholson Leslie Marine Ltd & other subsidiaries, and Director of Aon’s Lloyds Broker.

Previous experience with Corporate Finance and insurance/IT turnarounds working with major banks and private equity firms.

 

Formerly an elected member of Lloyds Insurance Brokers Council’s - Marine Executive, currently a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a registered Member of Insurance Brokers Registration Council, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Manufacturers, Institute of Directors, Institute of Interim Management. Corporate Finance exams passed and Financial Services Authority registration & approval.

 

Andy Taylor - Underwriting and Product Development Director

 

The founder of Go Travel Insurance in 1998 has extensive experience, over 25 years specialising in travel insurance in Underwriting product development, broking and claims.  The original Go website and business processes were developed by Andy.

 

Andy has produced business at director level in the travel and tour operator sectors throughout the UK.

 

Andy’s Internet experience contributes to all our owned and managed websites focusing on usability and graphical elements of the sites.

 

John Moss - IT Director

 

John has 30 years IT experience and software development in a range of industries.  John has specialised during the last 10 years on internet application development including in the insurance industry.

 

John brings his extensive project management and programming abilities to DISL to direct and implement web application development focusing on XML technology and Microsoft technology platforms.
